Firefighters are at the scene of a car fire in Broadstairs town centre.

Nobody is thought to have been injured in the blaze, which began in The Broadway just after 10.30am and engulfed a silver car.

The fire has now been extinguished by fire crews, but the road remains closed by police.

A police spokesman said: "The road will remain closed until the vehicle is recovered and the area is deemed safe."
