Firefighters were up against the clock to quickly to put out a fire in a brand new roof.
Firefighters were called to reports of a smell of smoke in a property in Durban Road, Margate, on Thursday night where a flat roof had been built earlier in the day.
The incident happened just before 10.20pm.
After cutting away materials to expose the wall cavity, crews discovered a smoldering fire.
Firefighters quickly doused the fire with a high-pressure hose reel jet.
There are no reports of any injuries.
The cause is not known.
Two fire engines attended the scene, and crews used a high-pressure hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera.
