Fire crews are tackling a large field fire which has seen smoke billowing around Birchington and Minnis Bay.

Crews have been called to the area around Canterbury Road, after witnesses described smoke wafting near the rail track.

People described seeing flames at the heart of the blaze this evening.

The fire has affected train services in the area. Southeastern has tweeted that trains between Faversham and Ramsgate face disruptions.
