Firefighters were called to a notorious fly-tipping site this evening where mounds of rubbish were alight.
The blaze, behind Dreamland and Arlington House in Margate, was reported around 6pm.
Kent Fire and Rescue were on the scene to tackle the blaze which some observers noted was 'smelly'.
The cause of the blaze is unknown.
