Four teenage girls have been arrested on suspicion of assault after a 13-year-old girl was allegedly attacked in a car park.
The victim was reportedly assaulted in Sainsbury's car park at Westwood Cross shopping centre shortly before 2.50pm yesterday (Sunday).
A group of youths who had gathered in the parking area were dispersed by officers.
The girl, who is believed to have been in the nearby Vue cinema before the incident, was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Her injuries are not described as serious.
Officers are appealing for witnesses and anyone with mobile phone footage.
A police spokesman said: "Four girls aged 13 were arrested on suspicion of assault.
"They have been released while enquiries to establish the circumstances of the incident continue.
"We have spoken to a number of witnesses but would still like to hear from anyone who saw the incident, or has mobile phone footage of it, and has not already spoken to us."
