A man was punched in the face and had his mobile phone stolen in a gang attack last night.

The victim was sitting on a bench at Warre Recreation Ground in Ramsgate when he was approached by three men at about 9.40pm.

They demanded he hand over his phone, before one of them struck him in the face.

The three suspects ran off after the robbery in Newington Road.
