A 14-year-old girl has been arrested on suspicion of assault at a train station.

British Transport Police were called to Margate station yesterday at about 6pm after reports of an assault.

The teenager was arrested on suspicion of common assault and affray.

The girl was released under police investigation whilst enquiries continue.
