Two teenagers have been arrested after a young girl was injured in a caravan crash.
Police were dispatched to Dane Valley Road in Margate at about 9.45pm last night after reports of a loud noise.
A dogs unit and police helicopter were sent to search the area, amid concerns the noise could have been caused by a gun.
After carrying out inquiries, they established the noise had been caused by a crash involving a car and a caravan.
A young girl sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital by her family as a precaution.
Two boys, aged 15 and 16, were arrested on suspicion of failing to stop following an accident but were later released without charge.
It is understood the crash happened on Dane Valley Green, where a traveller encampment of caravans is currently based.
