A grandmother from Ramsgate has banked £50,000 thanks to a victory in the postcode lottery.
Marilyn Irvine, 70, scooped the cash when CT11 9JN was announced as a winner, and is now struggling to comprehend the huge boost to her bank balance.
The retired hospice worker, who found out how much she’d won during a video call, is hoping to head over the USA when the world starts getting back to normal.
“It’s going to make my retirement a bit easier and I can treat family and friends," she said.
"I’ve always wanted to go to San Francisco so I might be able to realise that dream.
“I’m so happy I can’t explain myself. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. I’m still shaking.”
The People's Postcode Lottery sees a minimum of 32% of ticket sales go directly to charities.
Marilyn says she signed up to play because of the support that goes to those in need.
“Quite often I like to help good causes but I am retired so this way I can support good causes and have a bit of a gamble at the same time," she said.
"I like the fact you contribute to local causes. I think that’s wonderful especially because they’re all having a hard time at the moment.”
