Margate failed to make it three wins on the spin on Saturday as they were well beaten at Harrow Borough in the Ryman League Premier Division on Saturday.
Gate never recovered from a first half display which saw them go in 3-0 down at the break.
The opener arrived from the penalty spot on 19 minutes. Former Gate star Rocky Baptiste netted from 12 yards after Joe Healy had brought down Dewayne Clarke in the box.
The lead was doubled almost immediately as poor defending allowed Charlie Wassmer to nod in Jonathan Hunt's cross at the far post and Hunt turned goalscorer shortly before half-time after a mazy dribble.
Margate improved after the break and Lloyd Blackman, Healy and substitute Kenny Pratt all went close - but they finished with nothing to show for their efforts.
