A plot of land with planning permission which has blighted a high street for years has been sold at auction for £286,000.
The 0.17 acre site in Ramsgate High Street can have up to 14 flats constructed on it.
The approved plans are for a four storey building to contain eight two-bedroom flats and six one-bedroom flats.
Dave Henwood, senior auction valuer, said: "This lot represented a fantastic opportunity to develop a large block of flats in a central location in Ramsgate.
"Currently the site is vacant, meaning work can begin at once.
"The site is at 81-85 High Street and the proposed building looks attractive and in keeping with the town."
Also under the hammer by Clive Emson was 15 Royal Road, also in Ramsgate.
The freehold block arranged as two maisonettes - which require refurbishment - sold for £325,000.
