Woman in serious condition after stabbing at home in Guy Close, St Peters, Broadstairs

A woman remains in a serious condition in hospital after a stabbing at a home.

There was a huge emergency response in Guy Close last night – a sleepy cul-de-sac off Lanthorne Road in St Peter’s, Broadstairs – where a home was cordoned off.

Officers and paramedics were called to the house and an air ambulance landed nearby after reports of a disturbance shortly before 7pm.

It was reported a woman in her 20s had been assaulted and suffered serious injuries.

Police say she was taken to a London hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition.

A woman in her 50s, who was known to the victim, was arrested in connection with the incident.

She remains in custody this morning.

Police sealed off the home in the aftermath of the attack.

Forensic investigators and detectives were spotted working at the scene.

Guy Close is a quiet cul-de-sac off Lanthorne Road.
