An estranged husband has been arrested on suspicion of murder after his wife was found dead.
A murder investigation was launched after the body of Sophie Cavanagh, 31, was discovered on Sunday evening.
Police confirmed 34-year-old Martin Cavanagh has been apprehended after launching an appeal today to the public to help find him.
He handed himself into a south London police station and was arrested.
He remains in police custody.
The 34-year-old was believed to have links to Margate, as well as Hastings, Paignton and Devon.
DCI Richard Vandenbergh said: "We are working tirelessly to establish exactly what happened in the lead up to Sophie's death and I am committed to finding the person responsible for this vicious attack."
The death in a Bromley flat was originally being treated as unexplained, but initial findings from the post-mortem suggest it is suspicious.
Police are awaiting the results of a formal identification, but are satisfied that the woman is Mrs Cavanagh.
