Kent Police renew appeal after woman injured in Margate robbery

A man has been arrested after a woman was injured in a robbery.

The incident happened near Margate railway station where the victim had her phone stolen.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing and officers have renewed an appeal for information.

A woman suffered facial injuries in the robbery, which happened between 2am and 3am on Sunday, March 13.

A 47-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Officers believe the woman was assaulted near the taxi rank area outside the station at about 2.45am.

They are now appealing to any taxi drivers who may have been in the area to contact police.
