Thanet Wanderers' rugby stars fought hard but ultimately went down 33-20 to Sidcup in their latest league clash.

Tries from Andy Letts, Tom Ash and Ben Massey, plus a converted penalty from Richard Eldridge, failed to overcome the visitors' points haul.

It is only the second time the Broadstairs-based club has lost this season.

The first XV, captained by Massey, coached by Darryl Vas and managed by Michelle McLean, travel to Wimbledon this Saturday (October 10).
