A man's death is being treated as unexplained after he was found at the bottom of stairs with serious injuries and died just days later.

On Sunday, September 24, police received a report that a man had been taken to hospital after he was found with serious injuries at the bottom of stairs in a property in Sweyn Road, Cliftonville.

The 44-year-man from Margate died a few days later on Wednesday, September 27.

The next of kin is aware and his death is currently being treated as unexplained.

Police are making enquiries into his death.
