Kent based big band leader Jools Holland is joined by Spice Girl Melanie C and vocalist Marc Almond when he plays Margate Winter Gardens.
In 1987 Jools formed The Jools Holland Big Band, comprising himself and Squeeze drummer Gilson Lavis.
This has gradually metamorphosed into the current 20-piece Jools Holland and His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, which consists of pianist, organist, drummer, three female vocals, guitar, bass guitar, two tenor saxophones, two alto saxophones, baritone saxophone, three trumpets, and four trombones.
Jools and his band continue to dazzle audiences across the UK with their exuberant live performances.
As well as Melanie C and Marc Almond, other vocalists include Ruby Turner and Louise Marshall.
The show is on Friday, August 29, from 7.30pm and tickets are £35.50 from the venue - www.margatewintergardens.co.uk, telephone 01843 292795.
