An aspiring young star from Kent features in the new John Lewis Christmas advert.
Hudson Trindall, a pupil at Regency Performing Arts in Margate, plays a young Elton John in the commercial, which was released today and shows different actors taking on the legendary musician through the years, including an appearance from Elton himself for the present-day scenes.
Called The Boy in the Piano, it begins with the musician sat playing the opening bars of Your Song before it goes back in time to show his career and then his childhood, when he was given his grandmother's piano.
Hudson plays a young Elton performing a piano recital at school in front of an audience, including his mum.
This year's John Lewis advert - which is hotly anticipated each year - is about the power of a gift and how it inspired, changed and influenced the course of a little boy's life, namely Elton John.
Speaking about the advert, the musician said: "The John Lewis Christmas campaign has so many warm memories for me and my family.
"It's been a lovely opportunity for me to reflect on my life in music and the incredible journey I have been on, and how first playing my Grandmother's piano marks the moment when music came into my life.
"The ad is absolutely fantastic and I've truly loved every minute of being a part of it.”
