It's a dog's life being an early morning radio presenter sometimes.
Ever since we adopted Pollydog from a rescue centre, she has delighted in waking me up at all hours of the night as she much prefers our bed to her own. And that meant quite a few sleepless nights which is no fun when you are up at the devil's dancing hour to get to the studio for 6am.
So I had this bright idea. If Pollydog likes our bed so much, buy her one of her own. And it worked! Now she sleeps in our room on a large mattress that we bought especially.
And she is as good as gold. But within the time it takes for me to get up and have a shower, she has scooted back into our bed in my spot and is snoozing soundly on my pillow when I pop in to say goodbye. Cheek!
It's Christmas - since I spoke a few weeks ago about wanting to get a good up tempo festive pop song from local musicians, ideas have been coming into the studio and myself and Pete played one on a recent Saturday show it was that good.
Here's what we want. Nothing mournful, just a good melody and strong lyrics and a memorable tune. Send them into the studio on a CD and we will give them a listen. We will play the best of them during the festive season.
Now it's the end of another long day at kmfm and I'm off to put my feet up for a well-earned rest - if Pollydog isn't in my chair!
