Staff at a Tesco Express store were threatened with a knife by two men who demanded cash and cigarettes in a robbery this morning.
Police were called to the scene in Hereson Road, Ramsgate at around 8.30am to the report of a robbery at the store.
Detective Sergeant Brian Doughty said: "No-one was injured although the staff were understandably shaken by what happened.
"The shop was busy at the time and we are asking anyone who saw the incident or the two offenders either before or afterwards to contact us."
The offenders were both described as being white and around 16 or 17 years old.
One was wearing a black coat with a hood, dark trousers and dark shoes.
The other was wearing a thick grey hooded top with the hood up, dark trousers and black trainers.
They made off along an alleyway towards Cecilia Road.
