A man and a woman have been cut free from a car following a crash in Ramsgate.

The man in his 60s and a woman in her 30s were freed from their car by firefighters using hydraulic rescue equipment following a two-car crash on the A256 at about 5pm.

They were treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital.

Queues built up on both Manston Road and Canterbury Road West after the accident.

Firefighters were also called to two other crashes on the A299 Hengist Way this evening.
