Emergency services, including the Coastguard's helicopter, have been scrambled to a beach this morning after a man fell from a cliff.
Police and paramedics were among those called to Dumpton Gap in Broadstairs after reports of a man falling from the cliff edge shortly before 6am.
The man, who was badly injured, was flown by the coastguard to Kings College Hospital, supported by air ambulance paramedics.
A spokesman for Kent Police said: "We received a report at 5.58am that a man had fallen from a cliff in the Dumpton Gap area, Broadstairs.
"Officers are attending with the South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Coastguard where a man is being treated at the scene."
A spokesman for SEcAMB said: "We attended the scene following reports of a fall from height. The air ambulance team joined us at the scene in a road vehicle. The patient, who had suffered serious injuries, has been airlifted by the coastguard to Kings College Hospital with the air ambulance team on board to treat the patient en route."
