A 27-year-old man who died in a crash has been named as Brandon Licorish.
The Margate resident, who was driving a Ford Focus, was critically injured in the accident in Broadstairs earlier this month.
An inquest into his death was opened this week at County Hall in Maidstone.
The coroner's court heard how Mr Licorish was airlifted to hospital following the single-vehicle crash on Millenium Way.
He had two major operations on a traumatic brain injury at Kings College Hospital in London.
Despite the two procedures – one on the evening of the crash, April 2, and one the following day – Mr Licorish tragically sucummbed to his injuries on April 5.
His cause of death was given as a traumatic brain injury caused by a road traffic accident.
A full inquest will be held later this year.
Police are continuing to appeal for information around the incident, which took place at around 4.45pm on April 2.
A spokesman said: "Investigators have renewed their appeal for witnesses to a collision near Broadstairs.
"Emergency services were called after a silver Ford Focus was involved in a one-vehicle collision in Millennium Way at around 4.45pm on Sunday 2 April 2023.
"Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service, Kent Fire and Rescue Service and an air ambulance, which flew a 27-year-old man to a London hospital.
"He has sadly since died from his injuries."
