A 48-year-old man from Margate has been charged with murder.

Trevor Brazier, of Northdown Road, was arrested at his home just before 6.30am yesterday.

Another 48-year-old man, of no fixed address, was treated for serious injuries by paramedics at the property that morning and taken to hospital, where he later died.

Mr Brazier was charged with murder earlier today.

He will appear before Medway Magistrates' Court via video link tomorrow.

Due to their previous contact at the address, police have referred the incident to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, which will investigate the handling of the case.
