A man has been arrested after a car crashed into six vehicles parked in a residential street.
Shocking photos taken in Approach Road, Margate, last night show the aftermath of the seven-car smash - which left damaged vehicles strewn across the road.
Police were called to the scene just before 9.30pm.
A 48-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being unfit to drive through drink or drugs.
Photos from the scene show pieces of wreckage strewn across the road, but no injuries were reported.
Approach Road resident Jon Bond said the crash "could have been devastating".
"One parked car - the little white one - was moved at least five metres and ended up on the bonnet of another," he said.
He says it is "not the first time something like this has happened" in the residential street.
"We had a car on its roof, having clipped a van, a while back," he continued.
"Approach Road is used as a rat run/race track regularly.
"We have near-misses often, and more spectacular incidents every year or so."
Mr Bond says he and other residents are hoping to call for traffic calming measures to be installed in Approach Road, in a bid to reduce the number of crashes.
