The death of a woman in a Broadstairs property is being treated as unexplained.

Emergency services were called to a residence in Prince Charles Road on Friday morning.

A man who was arrested in connection with the incident has been released on bail.

A police spokesman said: "Police were called at 7.28am on Friday, March 22, to a residential property in Broadstairs following a report a woman had died.

"Officers were called to the address in Prince Charles Road by the South East Coast Ambulance Service where the woman in her 60s was confirmed deceased.

"Detectives continue to carry out enquiries to establish the circumstances of her death, which is currently being treated as unexplained.

"A 71-year-old man from Ramsgate, who was known to the woman, has been arrested in connection with the incident and has since been released on bail pending further inquiries."
