A man has been charged after armed police stormed a residential street.

John Richmond, 67, of Allenby Road, Ramsgate, is charged with producing Class B drugs.

He has been ordered to appear at Margate Magistrates' Court on Thursday, February 23.

Meanwhile bail has been extended for a man in his 50s who was arrested in connection with the same incident.

He is due to report to Margate police station tomorrow.
