A man is due in court following a robbery at a bookmakers in Ramsgate.

Simon Bennett, of no fixed address, was arrested yesterday (Tuesday) following the incident at the Coral betting shop in Newington Road on Thursday, August 30.

The 28-year-old, who was arrested along with two other people, is to appeal before Medway magistrates' today (Wednesday).

A 30-year-old woman from Margate and a 35-year-old man from Canterbury who were also arrested have since been released pending further investigation.
