A 19-year-old man is set to appear in court after being charged with a burglary in Margate.

Rene Miller, of no fixed address, was arrested by police and charged on Thursday, May 31.

The charge relates to a reported burglary at a property in Nash Road on the same day, where the victim called police after she found a man in her house.

The suspect ran from the scene but was later detained by officers in the nearby area.

Mr Miller appeared via virtual link at Medway Magistrates’ Court last Friday (June 1). He has been bailed to appear next at Canterbury Crown Court on Friday, June 29.
