A man has been seriously injured after being hit by a car.

Emergency services were called after the pedestrian was struck in Broadstairs yesterday.

Police officers and paramedics were called to the High Street at 3.27pm yesterday.

The victim was treated at the scene and taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A police spokesman said: "We were called at 3.27pm on October 26 to a report of a collision involving a car and a male pedestrian in High Street, Broadstairs.

"Officers and ambulance attended and the man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

"He remains in hospital."
