A man in his 60s was arrested following a police pursuit.

Police say a motorbike failed to stop for officers in Eastern Esplanade, Margate in the early hours of yesterday.

Residents shared footage online where a chorus of sirens travelling through the area can be heard.

A police spokesman said: "At about 12.20am yesterday, a motorbike failed to stop for police when requested to do so in Eastern Esplanade, Margate.

"Following a pursuit by officers from Kent Police's Tactical Operations team, the motorbike was stopped in Columbus Avenue, near Manston.

"A 61-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop and dangerous driving."
