Man 'assaulted' in Ramsgate Road, Margate

A man in his 60s suffered injuries to his head and ribs after he was assaulted in Margate.

The victim was attacked as he left a takeaway in the town's Ramsgate Road.

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment after sustaining injuries to his head and ribs.

Officers are working to locate the suspect, who is described as a 5ft 10in white man in his mid 20s.

He has very short dark hair, a clean shaven face and spoke with a local accent.

The suspect was wearing a light grey tracksuit top and bottoms at the time of the alleged assault, which happened at around 11pm on Friday, May 17.

Police would like to hear from anyone who was in Ramsgate Road near to the traffic light junction with College Road between 10.30pm and 11.15pm and saw anything suspicious.
