A man has been taken to hospital after he was stabbed in the stomach near a shop in Margate.
Witnesses say they saw the victim "covered in blood" and a large police presence near the scene in Arnold Road.
The area near the Premier shop was taped off at about 5.45pm yesterday after paramedics were first called to a private garage in the street.
A neighbour commenting on social media said her daughter had seen a man covered in blood when she walked past.
Several police cars and ambulance vehicles were seen in the road following the incident.
Police say they were called to help ambulance crews at 5.40pm.
A spokesman said last night: "Officers attended the scene, where a man had suffered a minor stomach wound and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
"Officers remain in the area carrying out enquiries and reviewing CCTV in order to establish more around the circumstances of this incident and how the man's injury was caused."
