A man has been airlifted to hospital with a head injury this morning, after a suspected assault.

Police, ambulance crews and Kent Fire and Rescue Service also attended the scene.

Police spokesman Scarlet Jones said: "Kent Police was called at 10am to Manston Road, Ramsgate to reports a man had been assaulted.

"The victim has been airlifted to hospital with a serious head injury."

A 49-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is in police custody.
