A man was cut free from a car after a crash between a motorbike and a car in Margate.

An emergency helicopter crew was called to the incident in Millmead Road, along with fire and ambulance teams.

The paramedics, doctors and firefighters worked to free the man, who was trapped by his injuries in his vehicle, using hydraulic equipment.

Firefighters also assisted with care of the motorcyclist and both casualties were assessed by paramedics.

One of them has been transported to a London hospital for further treatment.

Kent Police is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
