POLICE are investigating after a body was found on the rocks near Margate's Winter Gardens complex this morning (Tues).

The man thought to be in his mid-50s was discovered shortly before 8am on the beach below the clifftop prom.

A police spokeswoman said: "We do not think that there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death."
