Margate remain in relegation trouble after two stoppage time goals gave Aveley the points at Hartsdown Park.

Gate took the lead midway through the first half when Sam Jones was fouled in the box and Nick Barnes scored from the spot.

A close range volley from Martin Tuohy brought Aveley level in the second half, but Gate skipper Jay Saunders (pictured) looked to have given his side the points with a late goal.

Then it all went wrong for the home side when Dan Young deflected Stanley Sherwin’s free-kick into his own net and Danny Gabriel tucked in the winner.
