A dramatic stoppage time winner from substitute Billy Dunn gave Margate maximum points against Boreham Wood in the Ryman League Premier Division at Hartsdown Park on Saturday.
Dunn, who is on loan from Sutton, drove the ball home from outside the penalty area with three added minutes on the clock.
New signing Steve West had seen a header hit the bar for Gate early on, before Boreham Wood took the lead after 15 minutes when the home defence were unable to clear a cross and Leon Hunter scored.
Gate equalised after the break when Dunn, who replaced the injured West, back-healed the ball to Joe Healey who fired it into the top corner from the edge of area.
The visitors had a goal disallowed for a foul on the goalkeeper, before Dunn’s late strike wrapped up the points.
