A new micropub in a former beauty salon has been given the go ahead by council planners.
The application to transform the vacant business in Ramsgate High Street was approved by Thanet District Council last month.
The team which runs The Pub in Broadstairs are behind the new venture which is scheduled to open in the autumn.
The change of use license application to convert the former Beauty by Alexandra business was granted permission.
It is hoped the new micropub, which does not have a name confirmed yet, will be open in September.
Documents sent to the council revealed the agent for the bid as Max Bell, who is one of the bosses at The Pub - which opened last November.
He said this week the team will now begin working on the building with no more announcements about the alehouse.
Speaking to Thanet Extra in May, when the plans were revealed, Mr Bell said: "The location in Ramsgate is intended to be along the same lines as The Pub, but it’s independently owned.
"We will have little to no involvement in the new location; it’s to be run as a business all of it own.
"My goal when starting The Pub was actually to franchise, to help other people start their own businesses and expand micropubs originally across Kent, and eventually across the UK, with any luck.
"The plan is to serve the same excellent range of cask ale, craft beer, wines and gins that have gone down so well in The Pub."
The venue will serve mostly Kentish ales and guest ales from across the UK with wines from various areas, gin and an extensive range of ciders.
It is expected the new venture will provide two full-time jobs.
Planning papers say the pub will be open from 5pm to 10pm on weekdays and from midday to 11pm on Saturdays. Sunday and bank holiday opening is proposed to be from midday to 9pm.
