Thousands of pints were pulled and downed by real-ale enthusiasts at a beer festival last weekend.
The Thanet branch of Camra hosted the ninth Planet Thanet Easter Beer Festival at Margate’s Winter Gardens where connoisseurs tasted cask-conditioned beers, ciders and perries.
Crowds of ale enthusiasts packed the main hall across Good Friday and Easter Saturday, where dozens of beers and ciders from across Kent and beyond were on offer.
Drinkers also spilled out into the sunshine as they found a spot in the grounds of the Gardens to enjoy Friday’s warm weather.
Thanet brewers offering their tipples included Gadds and R&R Ales.
On Friday Hobo Jones and Wireless took to the stage to entertain punters and on Saturday Bert Butler and the Jazz Pilgrims were followed by a giant pub quiz where teams of six competed for a £100 cash prize.
Alongside the busy main hall, drinkers could also retreat to the quieter Queen’s Hall where there were stalls selling T-shirts, soft drinks and snacks such as olives and locally-made cheese.
