Mini Viva's success in the past two years has been anything but small. In fact, it's been positively supersonic.

They've scored a top 10 hit with their catchy debut single 'Left My Heart In Tokyo', supported top girl band The Saturdays and are managed by music mogul Simon Fuller.

And now, as winter finally makes way for spring, the quirky duo are planning to spread rays of feel-good pop sunshine on a 27-stop tour of the UK, starting beside the seaside at the Margate Winter Gardens.

"It's going to be our first time in Margate and we're so excited," said 20-year-old Britt Love, who makes up one half of this unstoppable girl-pop force.

"We're supporting Diversity which is going to be amazing because I absolutely love dancing - in fact, it's how I came about auditioning for Mini Viva. My friends are really into breakdancing and I spotted a flyer for the trials at one of their competitions."

Britt and bandmate Frankee Connolly, 19, were rooting for dance troupe Diversity throughout the last series of Britain's Got Talent - "I thought they were great and Ashley's choreographing is amazing," said Britt - and the girls can't wait to share the spotlight with them.

It's the second time the Mini Viva tour bus has hit the road in the past 12 months but after playing in the shadow of The Saturdays and their main support act Pixie Lott last summer, Britt, from Newcastle, thinks it's their time to shine.

"I'm looking forward to playing in all these different places and to performing in front of all our fans," she said.

"I really miss my dog, Daisy, my mum and all of my family when I'm away from home but we're quite easy to please on the road. I'm happy so long as there's water, a few sweets and a couple of cans of Red Bull!"

The Margate gig kicks off a hectic few months for Britt and Frankee, whose third single 'One Touch' is due out on May 3.

Mini Viva will be proudly flying the flag for British pop music on a whistlestop tour of the United States to promote 'Left My Heart In Tokyo'.

And the girls will be hoping to raise the roof of the Big Top Tent when they play the Isle of Wight Festival in June.

Britt said: "It's quite surreal because I never expected anything like this to happen.

"We started off playing really small gigs in grotty little clubs and we never thought we'd be the headline support act for a group like Diversity or flying to America to promote our single. It's crazy!"
