A mob of youngsters are said to have videoed a park attack on two girls which has left the pair with injuries.

Police have launched an investigation into the Margate assault which happened at about 2pm today in Dane Park.

There are reports the gang recorded the incident on their mobiles and continued to attack the pair despite pleas to stop.

Police say they now are trying to establish what happened.

A force spokesman said: "We received a report at 2.15pm that two girls suffered injuries following an assault.

"Officers attended the scene and inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident."
