South Thanet MP Craig Mackinlay shows off his baby girl in a heartwarming photo.

Little Olivia - the Conservative's first child - was born on May 23 at St Thomas’ Hospital in London, weighing 6lb 9oz.

"She's a true joy," Mr Mackinlay said.

"My wife, Kati, is doing well and is taking to motherhood with enthusiasm.

“It was fortuitous that the birth coincided with the start of the short Whitsun break which has allowed me additional time to spend with our new arrival.

“I pay a huge thanks to the amazing medical staff at the hospital who were simply incredible. Our NHS is truly a remarkable institution.”
