Murder detectives are appealing for help in tracing this coat

This coat could help murder detectives piece together vital clues to the death of Anne Birch in Broadstairs.

Officers are appealing for help to trace the missing coat.

It comes after police were called to Whiteness Road just after 1pm on November 7 after a woman was said to have been injured.

But after police arrived with medical staff, 47-year-old Anne Birch was pronounced dead at the scene.

Now detectives want to locate this coat, believed to have been lost in the Nethercourt Gardens area near to Ramsgate Football Club.

It's described as a dark blue Regatta waterproof with a dark-coloured hood and a Nokia mobile phone was in one of the pockets.

The coat was last seen on the morning of November 7.

Lee Birch, 55, of Lymington Road, Westgate-on-Sea, has been charged with murder.
