Ramsgate Music Hall has been forced to cancel a festival as it has closed its doors for restructure.
The venue, in Turner Street, has been running for five years and regularly hosts live music and club nights.
Back in March, Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker played a sell-out show at the hall, which has a capacity of 130 people.
On Facebook, it was announced that the hall - which was voted Britain's best small venue in 2015 by readers of NME - will be shut until later in August for the restructuring process.
A spokesman for the venue said: "We cannot hide from the fact that running a small venue is an immensely tricky beast to handle.
"Over the next couple of weeks the Ramsgate Music Hall will go through a restructuring process, this will mean the sad cancellation of this year's Waves Fest 2.
"Our sincere apologies go out to the Wave Pictures, one of the finest bands we've ever had, having played more packed out shows than anyone.
"Sorry also to the other amazing bands on the bill including the legendary Tav Falco.
"On the positive side of gloom, plans are afoot to open with a fresh vision in the third week of August, continuing our programme of amazing performances we have already lined up.
"To sign off, what an amazing five years we've had.
"Rest assured we're doing all we can to continue to ride for five more."
