Big-name budget chain Home Bargains has announced its latest Kent store will open this weekend.
The shop has been fitted out as part of a £1 million project on the site of a former Aldi supermarket in Boundary Road, Ramsgate.
Twenty jobs are expected to be created by the store, which is opening at 8am on Saturday.
It is 15,209 sq ft and will have chilled and frozen food sections.
It comes after Aldi moved out of the building following 20 years of operating, and relocated across the road to a new facility at a former gasworks site.
Aldi bosses said the store had become "too small" for their needs, prompting them to move the business into the purpose-built unit in December 2021.
Ramsgate resident Casey Abbot, who will be managing the Home Bargains branch, said: "I'm very excited to be opening our new store and building a new team, who are all from the local area.
"This is the first Home Bargains for this community and Ramsgate will be a great location for us.
"The team and I look forward to welcoming shoppers to the store very soon."
