New CCTV images released in investigation into Margate assault

Police investigating an assault that saw a man stabbed in the back have released new images of men they would like to speak to.

Officers were called to Cliftonville Avenue, Margate, on November 7 after they received a report of a disturbance involving a group of men.

One man has now been arrested in connection with the incident, which took place at around 10.20pm.

The 45-year-old has been bailed pending further enquiries, and detectives have issued two new CCTV images of men who may be able to assist in the investigation.

A police spokesman said: “At around 10.20pm on Tuesday, November 7, Kent Police received a report of a disturbance involving a group of men in Cliftonville Avenue.

“One of the men had sustained a back injury consistent with a stab wound and sought treatment at a local hospital.

“Following a previous appeal, a 45-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and has been bailed pending further enquiries.

“Detectives are now issuing two new CCTV images of men who may be able to assist the investigation.”
