Suspect remains in custody and woman still in serious condition after stabbing at home in Guy Close, St Peter’s, Broadstairs

A female suspect remains in police custody and a woman is still in a serious condition after a stabbing at a home.

Police and paramedics descended on Guy Close on Thursday night – a sleepy cul-de-sac off Lanthorne Road in St Peter’s, Broadstairs.

An air ambulance landed nearby after reports of a disturbance shortly before 7pm.

Later on, officers cordoned off the home and forensic investigators were seen combing the home for evidence.

It was reported a woman in her 20s had been assaulted and suffered serious injuries.

Police say she was airlifted to a London hospital and have today confirmed she remains in a serious but stable condition.

A woman in her 50s, who is known to the victim, was arrested in connection with the incident.
