More on KentOnline
This feature has been in the Thanet Extra and online at thanetextra.co.uk for three weeks now and your feedback has been great, so thanks for that.
I now need your help. It needs a name and we’ve been throwing a couple of ideas about in the office this week. I’d like you to vote for either Corky’s Column or Corky’s Corner, or maybe you can think of something else? The winning suggestion will appear here next week so please get in touch and let me know.
On kmfm this week Johnny Lewis on breakfast had a special guest on the show. Local singer, 20-year-old Kayley Weller came in for a chat. She will be singing with Meat Loaf on his next tour and is a massive Bruce Springsteen fan, having seen him more than 70 times.
With the schools going back at the end of the summer break, listen out for more from Johnny as he’s going to be taking up some sporting challenges with local schools during the next term.
In the UK we drink a lot of tea, we’re famous for it. The team here at kmfm have been challenged to a tea drinking competition – the aim being to drink as much tea at one sitting as you can, but if you have to leave the table to visit the loo, you’re eliminated. The winner is the last man standing – or rather staying seated. I shall practise crossing my legs now and let you know how we got on.
Remember – if you’re involved in a local event or project we want to hear from you.
