It’s an exciting start to the new year for Ramsgate couple Chris Collins and Sylvana Barber.

Their son Christopher Lee David Collins was born at the QEQM hospital at 2.04pm on New Year’s Day.

He weighed six pounds and seven ounces and his father has spoken of his delight.

Chris said: “We are both very happy, it’s a brilliant start to the new year and a new beginning.

“Family and friends have been so excited for us.

“Sylvana did really well and I am so proud of her for giving me my baby boy.”

Baby Christopher has been taken home to meet his sister Darcy Leigh, who turns three on January 12.
